Long day, pretty much nothing done...

     Argh. I have so much to do, yet I'm still doing a blog post. I have so much homework that I have to finish to go to my algebra class tomorrow and I just don't feel like doing it. I've spent the whole day just staring at my computer screen, not know what to do. I've also been reading Keeper of the Lost Cities. I just love that series. Ah. I could spend all day reading the gloriousness, but alas, my mom is now giving me a lecture on doing stuff in the last minute. Let that be a lesson to you guys. Do. Not. Procrasinate. I'm not sure how to spell it but whatever. Got to go. Wish me luck. Bye!

Guess what came in the mail???

     Eeeeeeeeeeee! My books came in the mail! Oh, but not any books...KEEPER OF THE LOST CITIES was delivered to my house! I've read the book seventeen times, (yes I've been keeping track) and I've never loved it any less! I can't wait for Neverseen to come out, and if you didn't know yet, it comes out in November! As I've mentioned one too many times, Shannon Messenger is my absolute favorite author. She writes the best books and has the best humor. Check out her blog if you don't believe me (to do that, just click on Shannon Messenger). She. Is. The. Best. If you don't know already, there are three books in the series. Keeper of the Lost Cities, Exile, and Everblaze. I've read all of them multiple times and LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. !!!! I only got Keeper of the Lost Cities and Exile, but Everblaze will be MINE soon. I even decided to take a few dorky pictures with them. If you don't want to see them, then I suggest you leave this post NOW. EEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Do better in school!

     Wait, no, don't go! Okay. This needs to be quick. I have geometry class in about ten minutes so, this is kind of a rushed post. Let's be honest. I haven't blogged in the last few days because of my busy schedule and I'm sorry for that. I have been studying for a test and found a new, easy way to study. 
     This is super cool. So there's this website called QUIZLET. They are the best tool to study ever. So you create flash cards, study them, and then take a quiz. You can retake the quiz with the same word, just with a different format. I know it's not much, but it's come to the rescue many times when I'm doing some last minute studying. (Which is very often, if you ask me.) You'll probably have to make an account, but it's free and takes about a minute to do. Super simple. If you guys want to check that out you are welcome to.      I know some of you guys have different ways to study and/or are trying to find your own way to study, just like me. I basically got like B's and C's when I tried to study with flashcards. But after I found Quizlet, it's like a waterfall of A's came right at me. If you haven't checked it out yet, I totally recommend using it to study. It works with all subjects. I mean, it doesn't hurt to try, right?

Busy, busy, busy

     I'm literally sweating right now. But lucky for you guys, I made some time to do a blog post. (*wipes forehead*) So, basically, I've separated myself with Sweeter than Fiction. But that won't be for long. So here goes my rambling update about what's going on and what's going to happen. Starting now...

-As you can see,m Vicky's Diary is gone. Sorry guys, but I mean writing a chapter a week is a lot of work and I'm super busy. (I mean, check out the post title...) 

SORRY!

-Another thing, is that I will be doing a column (prolly on the side), about blogs I love. I think the list will be short, but that's subject to change. 

-A new tab is coming up. MY DIARY is going to be released tomorrow!

-I will be participating in Shannon Messenger's MMGM meme. It happens every Monday, and is basically a list of book reviews done by bloggers.

   New features and updates! I don't have much time, so hoping most of these are correct...

-On March 1st I will be releasing a new tab called "My Diary". It will be kind of a journal thingy about me.New entries will be posted once in a while,  but I will tell you when there's new stuff, or if you can't wait, you can follow Sweeter Than Fiction by Email. 

-I will be doing book reviews every Monday and participating in Shannon Messenger's MMGM meme. Super fun, and I will explain it to you when I'm not in a rush. 

-The blog will be getting reformed. Or whatever. I'll be fixing the fonts, changing the background, and removing and adding tabs. I'll tell more about this when I have time, don't worry.

School is tiring...

   Hey everyone, unfortunate news today. I'm back to school and I think you know what that means. With all the homework, I don't have time to blog as often. New Stuff...

   Hey everyone!!! I just wanted to update everyone about what new things are happening at Sweeter than Fiction Land. First off, you might've noticed that the shout out tab disappeared. I deleted it because it's taking up space on the tab line (which is rather short, if you ask me...). So the next logical question you have is are you continuing the SHOUT OUTS?!? Well in that case... I am. If I don't get anymore emails, then I might stop the shout outs. But, at the moment, yes. I will be continuing the shout outs. NOW, you're probably wondering where I'll put the shout outs. My answer would be in the HOME tab. Sooo that's that. 
   The next new thing is that I'm changing the STORY tab to DIARY. I'm not going to delete the story or anything, just hanging the tab name. The reason why is because story seems so... how to put this... simple. Yeah. Simple. If you knew me, you'd understand why SIMPLE is my arch nemesis. So yeah. I'm almost at the end of Chapter 1 of Larissa's Side... SUPER CLOSE TO BEING DONE WITH THE FIRST CHAPTER. Give me a secind to celebrate.

Update for Vicky's Side (be prepared for lots and lots of whining...)

   I already warned you. There's going to be A LOT of whining. If you're still here then, well, strap yourself in. 
   Let me get to the point. It's been a long day and I'm tired. As an author, your job is to find inspiration and use it. It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO hard for me (mostly 'cuz I'm 11) because argh... NEVERMIND. Most of the time, I want to put a spoiler in the text. I don't know why. It's just me. ANYWAY...Chapter 1 of Vicky's Side is most likely going to be published on Sunday, though I'm not done yet so only time will tell. I know I work at a SUPER slow pace, but that's just how I am. With only a few days left of February vacation, I'm not so sure that I can handle the blog and school work. So before hand, I want to apologize if I miss a deadline or forget to release the chapter. Anyway, I'm heading out the deadline cave with Chapter 1. I worked really hard on it and hoped you guys enjoy it!!!

Chinese New Year!!!

   Hey everyone!!! As you know, from my post title, today is Chinese New Year! I'll bet that you guys have no idea what that is. Just like Americans, China, and some other parts of Asia celebrate Chinese New Year. It's a New Year. You might think of it as no big deal...but it is!!! As kids (I'm just a kid, ya know...) adults will give us red pocket/bag things. Their super small. But who cares? It's just a bag. BUT, inside  holds money!!! Not just like 5 bucks. (I mean dude, it happens once a year. Can I get more money?) We get HUNDREDS of DOLLARS from our parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins!!! How cool is that? I bet now you guys wanna celebrate it...

Book Review

    Hey everyone!!! I wanted to do a book review on "A Question of Magic" by E.D. Baker. It's one of the best books I've ever read, and is also why E.D. Baker is one of my favorite authors.

Summary: 

This well-written story is about Serafina, a your typical village girl. Her life changes when she gets a letter from her (unknown, if you ask me) great aunt, who happens to be Baba Yaga, a person with magical abilities. Serafina finds out that she will get to be the new Baba Yaga! But she finds out that well, Baba Yaga has to answer a question for each person truthfully, but as E.D Bakers says, "Telling the future doesn't always mean knowing the right answers."

What I Like About The Book:

What I like about the book is the descriptive beginning, the nail-biting middle, and the happy ending. I hope this book becomes a Disney movie, just like Princess and the Frog!!!

Vicky's Side

   As you can see, I have added a new tab!!! It's called "Stories" for a reason. I always write the beginning of a great story, then get bored with it. I can never actually write a full story, so I decided to post a bunch of short stories in my blog. I don't have any thing planned out yet, but it'll probably be like a chapter a week. Keep in mind that these stories will be pretty short...

Anyway, my first story will be called "Vicky's Side". I don't have the plot yet, so don't ask me anything... But what I can tell you is that she's a rising pop star, but everyone has their limits. But after all, she's just a kid (an eleven year old...). I'm afraid that I must all leave you in the dark. 

But...you can read the Preface. Read it here. It won't tell you much about the the story (I'm SO evil, right?) but the next chapter will be released on... probably Sunday... but that's all I can tell you.

100 Reasons and Ways to Smile

   Millions of people are bullied everyday. That means that millions of people go home feeling bad about themselves. That's not a good number. I may not be the supportive kind, but I DO understand what it feels like to go home crying, locking yourself in your room, not wanting anyone to see you. That's why I created this post. I want to reach out and hug those who have gone through or are going through a rough time in life. 

Over the course of the next ten days, I will be posting 100--yes one hundred--reasons for you to smile. If you can't do the math, I'm saying that I will past ten reasons for each day. I'm pretty sure this is a post that I'll regret (How on earth am I going to find 100 reasons?), but having people like you guys is worth it. This 10 reason for smiles thing is going to start tomorrow and I hope you guys get a chance to read it. Maybe you haven't been bullied yet, but one day (I hope) you'll look back at these posts and realize that they've made your day. Bad Hair Day (Spoiler Free)

 
As you know, the new Disney original movie "Bad Hair Day" aired last Friday. I just watched it today and let me tell you this. Best. Movie. Ever. It's silly, it's serious, it's scary, and it's sad at the same time. Whoever came up with the plot was genius. The beginning is funny, the middle is shaky, but the end is probably the best part. It's hilarious. I don't know how to explain it. 
   Laura Marano from Austin and Ally's in the movie and she plays the main character who owns a special necklace (I won't way anymore because I don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't watched it yet). Leigh-Allyn Baker's from Good Luck Charlie is in there too and she plays the role of the ex-cop. Good Luck Charlie was ended a while ago but Baker's acting hasn't stopped yet. 
   It is by far the best movie I have ever watched, other than Big Hero 6. They're tied in first place. All Disney original movies have humor, but also a deeper meaning to it, which is what I love about them. The outfits, colors, and language is epic.

Watching:

I watched the movie on "Watch Disney" and there are barely any ads, so I would recommend using the app rather than watching it on TV.

Ummm....

   A while ago I got this as a gift. 

So in case you can't tell that's Olaf the snowman from Frozen. It looks like the key chain, right? Well, that was what I THOUGHT. Yesterday, I accidentally dropped it and this happened. 

HIS HEAD CAME OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I quickly put it back on and he seems okay. But the truth is that is is not a keychain. Nope not a key chain, but actually a flash drive!!!!!!!

                     Anyway, that's it. I know this is a short post but it means something.
