Heeey, everyone...I'm...very...sleepy. BUT, I decided to do a book review. And before hand I apologize if my grammar is funky or my spelling doesn't make sense but I'm throwing this together with the very little brainpower I have left. So don't blame me... Got it? Now go!!!

Gold Medal Winter, By Donna Freitas

Cover:

Summary:

Esperanza Flores has dreamed of going to the Olympics her entire life. She's always been the star skater, even though she's had a tough life. When she DOES go to the Olympics, she realizes that it's not what it seems. Her sport, ice skating, seems to have the most drama going on backstage. On the ice, nothing's going wrong. But the minute she steps off, the world seems to be two-faced. In this AMAZING story about teamwork, confidence, and luck, Espi opens your eyes to a place where, well, drama is the main lose. If you get stuck in it... well, good luck.

My Rating:
5 STARS!!!

Hey everyone!!! I wanted to do a book review on "A Question of Magic" by E.D. Baker. It's one of the best books I've ever read, and is also why E.D. Baker is one of my favorite authors.

Cover:

Summary:

This well-written story is about Serafina, a your typical village girl. Her life changes when she gets a letter from her (unknown, if you ask me) great aunt, who happens to be Baba Yaga, a person with magical abilities. Serafina finds out that she will get to be the new Baba Yaga! But she finds out that well, Baba Yaga has to answer a question for each person truthfully, but as E.D Bakers says, "Telling the future doesn't always mean knowing the right answers."

Rating:

FIVE STARS!!!

What I Like About The Book:

What I like about the book is the descriptive beginning, the nail-biting middle, and the happy ending. I hope this book becomes a Disney movie, just like Princess and the Frog!!!

Feedback:

Keep writing the way you do.

How I Found the Book:

I found the book in my local library. Talk about a good search!!!

Thanks for reading!!! Stay tuned for more posts!!!

Welcome to the Books 'n Movies tab!!!

As you know, the new Disney original movie "Bad Hair Day" aired last Friday. I just watched it today and let me tell you this. Best. Movie. Ever. It's silly, it's serious, it's scary, and it's sad at the same time. Whoever came up with the plot was genius. The beginning is funny, the middle is shaky, but the end is probably the best part. It's hilarious. I don't know how to explain it.
Laura Marano from Austin and Ally's in the movie and she plays the main character who owns a special necklace (I won't way anymore because I don't want to spoil it for those of you who haven't watched it yet). Leigh-Allyn Baker's from Good Luck Charlie is in there too and she plays the role of the ex-cop. Good Luck Charlie was ended a while ago but Baker's acting hasn't stopped yet.
It is by far the best movie I have ever watched, other than Big Hero 6. They're tied in first place. All Disney original movies have humor, but also a deeper meaning to it, which is what I love about them. The outfits, colors, and language is epic.

Characters:

Laura Marano plays Monica, and Leigh-Allyn Baker plays Liz.

Feedback:

Keep making movies the way you are doing now.

Length:

A little longer than an hour.

Rating:

5 stars. Speechless!!!

Watching:

I watched the movie on "Watch Disney" and there are barely any ads, so I would recommend using the app rather than watching it on TV.

I'm really picky in choosing movies to watch, but you must watch this movie. It's a keeper for sure.

***not my poster, I got it from the internet***

The Time of the Fireflies
By Kimberly Griffiths Little

This book is definitely a keeper. Originally, I thought that it would be lame and childish but I was wrong. Really wrong. I don't really know how to summarize it in one blog post so I'm not going to summarize it. But who am I kidding? I can't leave you guys hanging! So I decided to play nice (I know, I'm really kind) and give you guys the summary, cover, and website link.

(Yeah, I love doing that. Ahem. Anyway...)

The Time of the Fireflies (Summary)

"When Larissa Renaud starts receiving eerie phone calls on a disconnected old phone in her family’s antique shop, she knows she’s in for a strange summer. A series of clues leads her to the muddy river banks, where clouds of fireflies dance among the cypress knees and cattails each evening at twilight. The fireflies are beautiful and mysterious, and they take her on a magical journey through time, where Larissa learns secrets about her family’s tragic past — deadly, curse-ridden secrets that could harm the future of her family as she knows it. It soon becomes clear that it is up to Larissa to prevent history from repeating itself and a fatal tragedy from striking the people she loves.
With her signature lyricism, Kimberley Griffiths Little weaves a thrilling tale filled with family secrets, haunting mystery, and dangerous adventure."
